I’m very happy to post several photo sets from my recent trip to the Umbria region of Italy. I stayed for a few days at the Civitella Ranieri and in Gubbio. We visited Umbertide, Arezzo, Gubbio, Branca, Perugia, Todi, and Orvieto, among others. Take a look here.
I biked up to 5 Pointz and PS 1 the other weekend to get some photos of the latest graffiti/street art put up there. There were about 5 people in the process of putting up new work and plenty of other new pieces for the viewing, so take a look here.
I’m happy to be able to live in New York, but also able to look up at night and see so much vegetation. Here’s thanks to wonderful weather this weekend.
We had a chance to stop by at The Morgan Library and Museum yesterday and I had my camera with me, so I finally got a chance to capture some of Renzo Piano’s excellent renovation job from 2006 and discovered some unexpected things like the spectacular ceiling done by Samuel Yellin in the annex. Take a look here.
We just got back from a two-week trip to Vietnam and Hong Kong. Thanks to Cuong Pham for inviting us to travel with him on a chef’s tour of Vietnam. We were traveling, amongst others, with chefs Stuart Brioza, Brian Caswell, Edward Lee, and Paul Qui, so there was a lot of cooking and a lot of eating involved. We pretty much continued the eating trend on our own in Hong Kong, where my wife was one of the three judges […]

Since I was a big ‘walkman’ listener, I bought a number of them. They were really cheap ($7.50), because I bought most of them directly from […]
I just added a few new images of recent street art in the city. I still haven’t had a chance to photograph the new HowNosm wall on Houston. Hopefully I’ll get to that soon.Oh, P.S., note Ron English’s nod to Little Italy in the tatters at the bottom of baby Hulk’s pants!
I’ve posted a photo set I took recently of Joseph Saccio’s current sculpture show at the Kehler Liddell Gallery in New Haven, CT. You can view the photos HERE.
I had to work for a bunch of this weekend, but it’s amazing what you can do and see in a few hours on a Sunday in Brooklyn. I harvested some figs from my tree, went downtown to see PowderKeg (my wife’s new writing space) and was fortunate enough to get a chance to finally see Stephen Powers‘ amazing artwork next to the Brooklyn Macy’s. I have to say that Powers’ piece is the best combination of street art and […]
