Richard Serra Photo Set Here’s some new shots I took of the new Richard Serra exhibit.
For this year’s Open House New York, I took a trip to see Eero Saarinen’s TWA Flight Center. I was lucky enough to grow up near one of his buildings, so I’ve always admired his work. Since there were tons of others taking photos as well, I focused mostly on some of the details that interested me in particular. You can see selects from the shots I took, here.
We were just in the LA area for a wedding and had a chance to visit with a few friends. They treated us to some amazing food. Any LA friends should make sure to check out Good Girl Dinette in Highland Park. I made two photo collections: one for street art and architecture and the other for food and friends. We walked through Prospect Park yesterday and went to the Botanical Garden and Brooklyn Museum to see the Swoon and Ai Weiwei exhibit. The weather was absolutely perfect- not too hot and not too cold. I had a chance to photograph a Cake Sit, recently. I had never been to one before, but know the artist and one of the participants was a good friend of ours, so we were happy to check it out. For more on Martha Burgess and her work, please click here.
Wow, what a pleasure to get a chance to photograph another Turrell piece. I had such a great time checking out the sunset sequence at ‘Twilight Epiphany’ by James Turrell, on the Rice University campus, the other day. Check out the photoset here. I was very lucky this year to be invited to visit Mexico for my first time, during the winter holidays, so here are some photos I took while in Merida, Uxmal, and Telchac (beach), in the Yucatan region of Mexico.
